Wendy L. Goldstein

Wendy L. Goldstein has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Wendy L. is currently serving as the Director of Communications at the Office of the Nassau County Comptroller since April 2022. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all communication efforts, including press releases, newsletters, executive communication, internal communication, and reports. Additionally, they create presentations, writes speeches, and represents the Comptroller at events.

Prior to their current position, Wendy worked as an Executive Communications Specialist at Adelphi University from March 2019 to April 2022. Before that, they led WLG Communication since July 2013, where they provided marketing and public relations support to clients in various sectors, including non-profit, medical, and business. Their responsibilities at WLG Communication included media outreach, website development, and social media management for clients such as artists, financial groups, healthcare providers, and educational institutions.

Alongside their professional roles, Wendy has also been involved in academia. Wendy L. served as an Adjunct Professor at both New York Institute of Technology (from January 2013 to May 2019) and Long Island University (from January 2013 to December 2017). At these institutions, they shared their expertise in communication and public relations with students.

Earlier in their career, Wendy held the position of Director of Public Relations, Marketing & Advertising at Winthrop-University Hospital from August 2006 to September 2012. Before that, they worked as the Associate Director of Public Relations at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus from September 2000 to August 2006.

In addition, they obtained a certification in National Incident Management System (NIMS) from the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security in 2009.
