Senior Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management at Nassau Re

McKenna Gernander, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. McKenna started their career as an Office Assistant at Camp Mishawaka in 2019. McKenna then worked as a Waitress at Big Belly Cafe from September 2019 to December 2019, and as a Waitress and Ice Cream Server at Friendlys Restaurant from May 2017 to May 2020.

In 2018, McKenna joined Nichols College, where they held various roles. McKenna served as an Admissions Ambassador from April 2018 to June 2020, where they played a pivotal role in guiding first-year students. McKenna also worked as a Teaching Assistant from August 2019 to January 2020, assisting professors and providing support to students. During their time at Nichols College, they also served as the Fels Student Center Manager from September 2018 to May 2019, responsible for running the student center and organizing campus events. Additionally, they worked as an Orientation Leader from April 2018 to June 2018.

In 2020, McKenna joined Aetna, a CVS Health Company, as an FLDP Associate in Corporate Accounting/Controllership from June 2021 to June 2022. Prior to this, they served as a College Co-Op in Enterprise Risk Management from August 2020 to June 2021. McKenna had also worked as a FIP Summer Associate in Enterprise Risk Management from June 2020 to August 2020.

Currently, McKenna is employed at Nassau Financial Group. McKenna started in June 2022 as a Financial Analyst and has since been promoted to the role of Senior Analyst in Enterprise Risk Management, starting in May 2023.

Through their work experience, McKenna has developed strong skills in risk management, finance, and customer service.

McKenna Gernander, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Nichols College, which was obtained from 2019 to 2021. Prior to their MBA, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, General, also at Nichols College, from 2017 to 2020. McKenna's academic journey began at Newington High School, where they graduated with a High School Diploma in 2017.
