Rebecca Lopez is an accomplished professional in the field of athletic training with extensive experience in education and advocacy. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the National Athletic Trainers' Association DEIA Council and Co-Chair of the DEIA Task Force, Rebecca champions inclusivity and equity in the profession, particularly through leadership of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee. As a Professor at the University of South Florida, Rebecca has contributed to the Athletic Training Education Program and served in various roles within the institution, including Assistant School Director and Affiliate Faculty. Rebecca's involvement with the Korey Stringer Institute and as an Athletic Trainer for the Tampa Bay Inferno highlights a strong commitment to advancing the field. Academic credentials include a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees from Florida International University.
