Maha Basharat

Maha is a Research Director in the Policy Research Centre’s Evaluation team. She has expertise in the use of complex experimental and quasi-experimental methods. Maha is particularly interested in female empowerment and child labour in the context of developing countries. She holds a Masters degree in Economics from University of Warwick and for her dissertation, she implemented instrumental variable technique to determine the impact of dowry on female empowerment in Bangladesh.
