Nabil Shahin

Nabil Shahin currently serves as the Director of Integrated Data, Research and Evaluation at the Santa Clara County Office of Education, a role held since July 2019, where responsibilities include leading integrated data systems work and collaborating with technology services leaders to enhance data representations. Previously, Nabil held the position of Director III for K-12 Data Governance, providing advisory support to the Superintendent and overseeing initiatives aimed at promoting equity in education. Prior experience includes leadership as Principal of Sunnyvale Middle School from July 2014 to June 2019, where a multiyear plan was implemented to advance Culturally Proficient Teaching practices. Nabil's career in education began in the San Jose Unified School District, where various roles were held from July 2002 to June 2014, including Assistant Principal of Instruction and Assistant Principal of Guidance. Nabil's academic credentials include a Teaching Credential from San José State University, a Master of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from San José State University, with a focus on photography.
