Jessica Tang, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Natera since August 2020, specializing in Molecular Biology and R&D. Prior to this role, Jessica served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, where research focused on utilizing single cell DNA/RNA sequencing to investigate the origin of melanoma. Jessica completed a Doctorate in Physiology at Indiana University Bloomington, where the doctoral dissertation examined the epigenetic targeting of adipocytes in relation to high-grade serous ovarian cancer cell behavior, under the guidance of Kenneth P. Nephew, PhD. Additionally, Jessica holds a Master of Science in Microbiology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from UC Santa Barbara, where early research explored the cytotoxic effects of bilberry extract on breast cancer cells.
