Kathryn Shupe is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education, research, and service roles. Currently serving as a Long Term Science Substitute Teacher at Natick Public Schools, Kathryn taught Honors & College Preparatory Biology and AP Environmental Science in a hybrid setting. Previously, Kathryn worked as a bartender at Balani Restaurant and completed an intensive Data Science Fellowship at General Assembly, gaining expertise in Python programming and data analysis. As an Ocelot Biology Intern for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Kathryn authored a significant report analyzing wildlife usage of underpasses, and served as a Research Assistant for the Mara Hyena Project, focusing on behavioral data of Spotted Hyenas. An educational foundation in Zoology was obtained from Michigan State University, complemented by studies at The American University of Rome and additional training at General Assembly.
