Nelson Tansu is currently the Head of School and Professor in the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide. Nelson is also a Professor of Quantum Electronics and a Fellow at IEEE and a Life Fellow at the US National Academy of Inventors. With a background in various engineering disciplines, Nelson previously held several endowed professorship positions at Lehigh University before joining their current role. Nelson completed their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Applied Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and Physics.
