Richard Adrien

Richard Adrien is an experienced professional in the fields of education, research, and human capital management. Currently serving as an Officer at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since January 2019, Richard has also worked as a Research Analyst at Westat since May 2013, focusing on synthesizing best practices and conducting programmatic reviews. Previous roles include Program Facilitator at Liberty’s Promise and Volunteer Commissioner at the Rockville Human Rights Commission, where Richard advocated for human rights and facilitated educational discussions. Richard's earlier experience includes a Research Intern position at FHI 360, and an internship with RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund. Academic credentials include two Master's degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Concordia University in Psychology.
