Fiona Sheridan-McIver has extensive experience in policy and education, currently serving as the Director of Policy at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools since September 2017, following roles as Senior Manager and Manager in Policy & Government Relations. Fiona also contributed as a Public Policy Fellow with Leadership for Educational Equity and as a Professional Development Teacher Leader with Partners for the Americas, where support was provided to Panamanian English language teachers. Previous experience includes teaching Spanish at Saint Paul Public Schools and Achieve Language Academy, where curriculum development emphasized cultural relevance and inclusivity. Additionally, Fiona worked as a Policy Fellow for the Minnesota Department of Education, focusing on teacher preparation programs, and was a Teach For America Corps Member. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colby College and a Master of Art in Teaching from Hamline University.
