Ron Rice

Senior Director, Government Relations at National Alliance for Public Charter Schools

Ronald Rice serves as the Senior Director of Government Relations for the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools since June 2014, where responsibilities include representing the organization before federal agencies and Congress, promoting charter school priorities, and organizing educational events. Previously, Ronald Rice was a Municipal Councilman for the City of Newark from July 2006 to June 2014, where Ronald sponsored significant legislation and oversaw a municipal budget exceeding $600 million. Additional roles include Chairman of the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union counties, a member of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.- New Jersey, and various positions within the New Jersey Department of Education. Ronald Rice holds a JD from Seton Hall University School of Law, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from American University, and completed civics education through Leadership Newark.
