Aimee Berliner has extensive experience in the field of veterinary care for animals. Aimee began their career at the Georgia Aquarium in 2007 as an Associate Veterinarian and then moved on to Zoo Atlanta in 2008 as a Relief Veterinarian. In 2011, they joined the Memphis Zoo as a Staff Veterinarian, where they worked until 2019. During their time at the Memphis Zoo, they also provided relief veterinary services at the Georgia Aquarium. In 2015, Aimee became a Consulting Veterinarian for Bass Pro Shops and in 2017, they took on a similar role at LIVING EXHIBITS INCORPORATED. In 2019, they returned to the aquarium industry and became a Relief Veterinarian at the Georgia Aquarium before eventually joining the National Aquarium as the Director of Animal Health and Welfare. Aimee Berliner's education history begins in 1994, when they attended Murray State University. Aimee pursued a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Studies and completed it in 1999. Afterwards, they enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2000. Aimee earned another Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from there in 2002. Aimee continued their education at the same university and graduated in 2004 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
