Sonya Vega-True

Sonya Vega-True is a seasoned archivist and digital collections expert with extensive experience across various institutions. Currently serving as the Archivist and Office of Innovation Liaison at The National Archives since 2016, Vega-True previously held roles as a Digital Collections Library Consultant at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and as an Assistant Professor and Digital Initiatives Librarian at Vanguard University. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History & Humanities from UC Irvine. With a strong background in electronic resources management, instructional design, and metadata standards, Vega-True has contributed to the development and management of digital archives and collections in several prestigious organizations, including UC Irvine and OCLC.
