Certified Interpretive Guide Trainer (cigt) at National Association for Interpretation

Eliezer Nieves-Rodriguez serves as a Geography Professor at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras since January 2002, teaching courses that include Environment Conservation, Human Geography, and Ecotourism. Additionally, Eliezer holds the role of Certified Interpretive Guide Trainer with the National Association for Interpretation and has provided workshops for various organizations, including the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Eliezer is also involved in environmental interpretation and ecotourism projects as an instructor for Ducks Unlimited and functions as the Education and Public Involvement Specialist for the San Juan Bay Estuary Program. Previous positions include program coordination at Fundación Luis Muñoz Marín and the Natural History Society of Puerto Rico, as well as work with the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources. Eliezer's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Geography and a Bachelor's degree in Education/History from the University of Akron and the University of Puerto Rico, respectively.
