Katy McCreary

Katy McCreary has a strong background in public relations and journalism. Katy started their career in 2010 as a Reporter/Producer for U.S. News & World Report, where they produced, reported, and edited for the Education section. In 2013, they joined the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) as a Reporter/Editor, writing about college affordability and managing media relations. In 2015, they moved to NACUBO as a Public Relations Manager, where they edited and published an e-newsletter on higher education, managed social media channels and media relations, and publicized research reports. Katy was later promoted to Senior Manager of Public Relations and News before becoming the Director of Public Relations in June 2021.

Katy McCreary attended Penn State University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a B.A. degree in Journalism and Political Science.
