Meg Meador has extensive experience in the field of public health and quality improvement. Meg started their career as a Medical Service Corps Officer in the US Army, where they planned and coordinated medical support for a unit of over 5,000 soldiers. Meg also served as an Assistant Operations Officer, managing long-term planning and security for medical companies and specialty units.
After leaving the Army, Meg worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, where they assisted in implementing and evaluating the North Carolina Breast Cancer Screening Program. Meg also helped write grant proposals and develop training curriculum for healthcare providers.
Meg then joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina as a Quality Improvement Project Manager, where they developed and managed quality improvement projects for chronic and preventive health initiatives. Meg analyzed barriers to appropriate healthcare and designed interventions to address them.
Meg later served as the VP of International Public Health at the To Love Children Educational Foundation International, Inc., where they led the International Public Health team in developing programs to promote health and improve educational opportunities for girl children.
Meg then worked at the Health Center Network of New York as a Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator and Fund Development Manager. Meg directed and managed clinical quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting improved healthcare outcomes.
Meg's most recent position was as the Director of Clinical Integration and Education at NACHC, where they designed, developed, implemented, and evaluated new integrated strategies and quality improvement initiatives for health centers. Meg led a national initiative focused on self-measured blood pressure monitoring in collaboration with the CDC, YMCA-USA, and other organizations.
Meg Meador, MPH, C-PHI, CPHQ, obtained their BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, where they focused on Physiology, Psychology, Women's Health, Statistics, and Creative Writing. Meg later pursued a Certificate in Public Health Informatics from The Johns Hopkins University in 2012-2013. Meg furthered their education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning an MPH degree with a specialization in Public Health and Health Behavior from 1998 to 2001.
In addition to their academic achievements, Meg has attained several certifications. Meg is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), which they obtained in August 2019 and December 2021.
