Michael Vekich

Michael Vekich serves as the Chairman of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, overseeing operations appointed by Governor Dayton since July 2017. In addition, Vekich is the Chief Executive Officer of Vekich Chartered, a management advisory firm specializing in strategic planning, acquisitions, and business development, a position held since 1998. Vekich also holds several leadership roles, including Chairman of BNC National Bank, Chair of the Board of Trustees for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and President of The Bank Holding Company Association. Vekich's extensive experience includes serving as a Task Force Member for the Hennepin County Capital Budgeting Task Force and President of the National Association of Corporate Directors - MN. Previous roles include Acting Director of the Minnesota Lottery and Chairman of HF Financial Corp. Vekich obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
