Melissa A. Paul-Franklyn

Melissa A. Paul-Franklyn, Esq. is an experienced attorney specializing in child welfare law, currently serving as Attorney-In-Charge at The Legal Aid Society since September 2008. In this role, Melissa oversees staff attorneys who represent children in child welfare proceedings, provides practice training, and advocates for children's rights in cases of neglect, abuse, and custody. Additional contributions include co-teaching at New York Law School's Juvenile Rights Law Clinic Seminar and acting as New York State Coordinator for the National Association of Counsel for Children. Melissa's educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law and a BA in Psychology and Political Science from McGill University.
