Katie O. is a seasoned School Social Worker with extensive experience in educational and clinical settings. Since August 2021, Katie has been serving in Community Consolidated School District 15, developing and monitoring Individualized Educational Plans and facilitating counseling. As a PREPARE Trainer for the National Association of School Psychologists since January 2009, Katie contributes to the professional development of school mental health practices. Previous roles include Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Cyd Lash Academy and at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, along with serving as a Clinical Social Worker for the Special Education District of Lake County. With a Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University, Katie has a strong academic foundation complementing practical skills in behavioral assessments, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
