Nicholas Affrunti has extensive work experience in the field of psychology and research. Nicholas served as the Director of Research at the National Association of School Psychologists starting in 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2019. Nicholas also served as a Pre-doctoral Psychology Intern at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they worked as a Ph.D. Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Louisville from 2012 to 2017. Nicholas started their career as a Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2010 to 2012.
Nicholas Affrunti obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Fordham University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree (MA) in Psychology at The Catholic University of America from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Louisville, where they spent five years, from 2012 to 2017.
