Alexandra Wardwell

Alexandra Wardwell has a diverse work experience in the environmental conservation field. Alexandra started their career in 2005 as a Gardener at Natures Acres Organic Farm/Four Elements Herbals. In 2009, they worked as a Biological Science Technician at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge-Winona. Alexandra then served as an Administrative Support Assistant at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge-La Crosse in 2011. In the same year, they also worked as a Biological Science Technician (Plants) at the National Park Service. From 2012-2014, they took on the role of Director at Southern Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management. In 2012, they worked as a Grassland Bird Technician at the University of Tennessee. In 2013, they became the Prairie Project Manager at the National Audubon Society, where they focused on conserving native habitats in Minnesota. Alexandra also worked as an Interpretive Naturalist at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources- Clifty Falls State Park in 2015. Additionally, they worked as an AD Wildland Firefighter Type II at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service from 2010-2015. Alexandra's work experience showcases their dedication to conservation and environmental management.

Alexandra Wardwell completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Sauk Prairie High School. In terms of additional certifications, Alexandra obtained a Certified Interpretive Guide certification from the National Association of Interpretation in April 2015. Alexandra also holds a Pesticide Applicator License from the Office of Indiana State Chemist, obtained in March 2013. Additionally, they obtained an Incident Qualification Card (Red Card) from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group in March 2012.
