Andrew Nystedt has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Andrew worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at the National Audubon Society and the University of Minnesota Physicians in 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Human Resources Manager at the Animal Humane Society from January 2018 to June 2022, where they managed a team and focused on various HR functions such as employee relations, leadership development, compensation analysis, and process improvement. Andrew also worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Industrial Molded Rubber Products from August 2013 to August 2017. Andrew began their career as an AmeriCorps Husbandry Member at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center in September 2012 and also served as a Resident Assistant at Drake University from August 2010 to May 2012.

Andrew Nystedt received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science from Drake University, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. In 2011, they also briefly studied Sustainable Water Management at Uppsala University. Additionally, in November 2018, Andrew obtained the Professional in Human Resources™ (PHR™) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
