Charlotte Young

General Counsel at National Audubon Society

Charlotte Young currently serves as General Counsel for the National Audubon Society, a position held since March 2023. Prior to this role, Charlotte held various leadership positions at Winrock International, including Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, from August 2018 to May 2023. Previously, Charlotte was the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at The Nature Conservancy for a decade, where oversight was provided to compliance matters for a large international nonprofit. Earlier in Charlotte's career, significant experience was gained as Assistant General Counsel at Unisys Corporation, managing complex litigation, and as an attorney at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, specializing in complex litigation. Charlotte is also a recognized speaker and author, contributing to numerous conferences and publications related to ethics and compliance. Charlotte earned a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia.
