Erika Flores, MPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience. Their most recent position is as a Senior Communications Manager at the National Audubon Society, where they started in May 2023. Additionally, in 2023, they founded their own company called Shine Reel BOLD, where they serve as the Founder & CEO.

Prior to these roles, Erika worked at the Maricopa County Department of Transportation as the Communications Branch Manager from April 2022 to May 2023. Before that, they held multiple positions at Maricopa County, including Deputy Director of Communications in the Elections Department from October 2019 to April 2022. Earlier in their career, Erika worked as a Senior Communications Officer at Maricopa County from October 2017 to February 2021, and as a Digital Journalist from January 2016 to October 2017. Erika also served as the Communications Director & Board Member at Collectivo from January 2016 to April 2019.

Prior to their roles at Maricopa County and Collectivo, Erika worked as a Reporter at Arizona's Family from January 2014 to January 2016, at KVOA-TV as a Reporter from January 2012 to January 2014, and at CBS News as a Reporter from January 2010 to January 2012. Erika also had a short-term role as a Reporter at NAHJ (National Association of Hispanic Journalists) in June 2009. Erika began their career as an Anchor/Reporter at Cronkite News in 2008.

Erika Flores holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the ASU Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the Arizona State University - Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, with a focus in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs. Erika also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Arizona State University. Additionally, Erika Flores has an Associate's degree in Journalism from Central Arizona College.
