Sarah Lathrop Sauerland

Sarah Lathrop Sauerland has a diverse range of work experience. Sarah began their career as a parking attendant at Klipsch Music Center, where they gained experience in traffic control and handling high-stress situations. Sarah then worked as a sales associate at American Eagle Outfitters, specializing in customer service and assisting customers in finding the perfect fit and accessories. Sarah also served as a server at Woodstock Club, where they built and maintained relationships with club members and gained experience in event planning and execution.

Moving into the hospitality industry, Sarah interned at Maroma Resort and Spa, working in the reservations department and assisting with sales events. Sarah then took on an internship at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, where they completed various tasks for the refuge and its supporting organization, the "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society. Sarah later transitioned to a full-time role as Associate Director of Community Outreach and Development for the "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society, responsible for supporting education and conservation efforts.

Sarah continued their career in philanthropy and higher education, working as a Development Manager for the National Audubon Society and Major Gifts Officer at Hanover College. In these roles, they managed portfolios of donors and prospects, raising funds and cultivating relationships to support organizational goals.

Throughout their various positions, Sarah has demonstrated skills in relationship management, event planning, customer service, and fundraising.

Sarah Lathrop Sauerland completed their high school education from Lawrence North High School, where they obtained an Honors Diploma between 2005 and 2009. Following their high school graduation, they pursued higher education at Hanover College. From 2009 to 2013, they attended Hanover College and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish.

In addition to their formal education, Sarah has also obtained two certifications. In March 2014, they became a Certified Guest Service Professional from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. Furthermore, in July 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
