Habibu Atib

Habibu Atib is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data engineering and machine learning, currently serving as a Consultant and Acting Machine Learning Engineering Manager at National Australia Bank since July 2010. Atib successfully led a team of five to bring three advanced machine learning models into production, collaborating effectively with Data Science leadership and business stakeholders to create measurable business impacts. Additional experience includes various analytical and engineering roles, as well as academic positions as a lecturer in Information Technology and Computer Science across multiple universities. Atib holds numerous certifications in data science, machine learning, and leadership, complemented by a Master of Technology from RMIT University and a BSc in Mathematics from Makerere University. Active participation in professional communities is demonstrated through membership in the Australian Computer Society and the attainment of advanced coaching qualifications with Football Federation Australia.
