Michael J. Stanton

President & CEO at NADA

Michael J. Stanton is the current President & CEO of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA). Michael has held this position since October 2006. Prior to that, they were the Vice President & COO of NADA Used Car Guide from May 2000 to October 2006.

Mr. Stanton has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Michael began their career at Nissan Motor Corporation in May 1993 as a Regional Manager. Michael then moved to Isuzu North America in March 1991 as a District Manager. In May 2000, they joined NADA Used Car Guide as the National Sales Manager.

Michael has been a member of NADA since 2002 and has served on various committees, including the Industry Affairs Committee and the Dealer Operations Committee. Michael is a graduate of the National Automotive Dealers Association Dealer Candidate Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Michael J. Stanton has an MBA from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from James Madison University. Michael also attended Gonzaga College High School.
