Stephen W. Christy

Stephen “Steve” Christy was appointed to the Advisory Board of National Bank of Arizona in October 2013. In this role, he participates in the governing of NB|AZ® , establishing policies and corporate objectives to ensure the success of the organization. Steve was born in Tucson, AZ. He attended Sam Hughes, Mansfield and Green Fields Schools and graduated from preparatory school in Toledo, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the American University in Washington, D.C. Steve enjoyed a lengthy automotive career in Tucson, beginning as a “lot attendant” at his step-father Ed Galloway’s dealership, Galloway Motors. He eventually bought the dealership in 1997, and in 2001 relocated it to East 22nd Street in Tucson, renaming it “Steve Christy Chrysler-Jeep”. He sold the dealership in 2007. Steve is currently a Loan Officer with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation in Tucson. He also serves as In-Coming Chair of the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). In 2009, he was appointed to ADOT by Governor Jan Brewer to represent Pima County. Steve also serves as a Board Member of the Pima Association of Governments and as a current Chairman of the Regional Transportation Authority.
