Clair Doan

Clair Doan has a diverse work experience, primarily in the banking and agriculture sectors. Clair started their career at RBC Royal Bank as an Account Manager in Agriculture. Clair then transitioned to the National Bank of Canada, where they held various roles, including Manager Commercial Banking - Agriculture and Associate Vice President - Commercial Banking, Agriculture - Ontario and Western Canada. In these roles, they focused on business development, client advice, and increasing market share in the agriculture sector. Alongside their banking career, Clair also owned and operated the Doan Family Turkey Farm, producing live turkeys and crops. Clair was also a 2016 Nuffield Canada Scholar, conducting research on poultry markets and promoting Canadian agriculture.

Clair Doan completed a Master of Agribusiness degree at Kansas State University from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Honours Agriculture Science from the University of Guelph, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. In 1999 and 2000, Clair attended the Royal Agricultural University to study Agriculture Science and Business. Additionally, in 2015, they became a Nuffield Canada Farming Scholar, though no degree or field of study was specified for this program.
