Maxime Simard

Conseiller Principal En Cyber Sécurité (soc) at National Bank of Canada

Maxime Simard has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting as a Tech. Télecom at Desjardins in 1998, they later became a Supervisor at the Centre de gestion du réseau at Videotron in 1999. Simard then worked as an Administrator Système at both Meteor Studios and DAMN fx! from 2002 to 2005. Maxime joined Bell as a Technicien de bureaux Centraux in 2005, responsible for system monitoring and support. From 2007 to 2009, Simard worked as a Technicien principal en sécurité et telecom at Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, managing security systems and incidents. Maxime then transitioned to the cybersecurity field, working as a Security Analyst at Converge Net from 2011 to 2015. Simard continued their cybersecurity career at Ubisoft as a Security Analyst in 2015. Maxime then joined the Banque Nationale du Canada in 2015, holding the role of SOC Senior Security Analyst until 2023. Simard also served as a SOC Senior Advisor at the National Bank of Canada from 2018 to 2023 and is currently working as a Conseiller principal en cyber sécurité (soc) at Banque Nationale du Canada.

Maxime Simard attended CEGEP de Chicoutimi, where they obtained a DEC in Télémécom. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including GCTI - Cyber Threat Intel from GIAC Certifications in 2019, Arcsight Security Analyst from HP in 2017, GCIH from GIAC Certifications, and GSEC from GIAC Certifications.
