Mike Machel has a solid 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Mike began their career as a Compliance Officer at Investors Group, overseeing and enforcing rules for consultants dealing with clients. Mike then moved on to Berkshire Securities, where they started their consultant practice and developed a disciplined investment approach, influenced by Warren Buffet's philosophy. Mike then worked at TD Waterhouse Financial Planning as a Senior Financial Planner, focusing on retirement planning for high net worth families. Mike credits TD for equipping him with the necessary tools to learn the industry. Later, Mike joined BMO Nesbitt Burns as a Portfolio Manager & Investment Advisor, where they excelled in building client relationships and guiding families towards financial success. In 2001, Mike enrolled in the Canadian Securities Institute and obtained a degree in CIM, FMA, FCSI. Mike also earned several additional certifications including Fellowship of the Canadian Securities Institute in 2004 and Canadian Investment Manager and Financial Management Advisor in 2003.
