Omar Hany

Omar Hany is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as an L2 SOC Analyst at the National Bank of Egypt since September 2022. Prior to this role, Omar worked as a SOC Analyst and held various positions in IT support at ALEXBANK from July 2020 to September 2022. Omar also gained foundational experience as a Cyber Security Engineer Trainee at EG-CERT and completed internships at SAP and TE data. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Cyber Security Track from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering from The British University in Egypt.
