Salim Sawalha

Salim Sawalha currently serves as the Chief Retail Officer at National Bank of Iraq since March 2025. Prior to this role, Salim held various leadership positions, including Chief Retail Officer and Assistant General Manager at Jordan Commercial Bank from April 2016 to March 2025, managing a large team and overseeing significant banking operations and product development. Additional experience includes serving as Vice Chairman of the Board for both the First Investment Group (FIG) and Crystel.co, and holding the position of Country Manager for Visa, managing operations across Jordan, Palestine, and Iraq. Salim's earlier career includes pivotal roles at Bank-al-Etihad, Wachovia Corp, and Washington Mutual Bank, where considerable achievements in branch management and customer service were noted. Salim earned MBA degrees in Small Business/Entrepreneurship and Marketing from California State University - East Bay, along with a B.S. in Economics from Yarmouk University.
