Mohanad M. al-Borno

Mohanad M. Al-Borno is an experienced banking professional currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer for the UAE at the National Bank of Kuwait since May 2023. Prior to this role, Mohanad held several key positions at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) from June 2012 to October 2022, including Senior Managing Director and Group Head of Global Banking, where responsibility encompassed Global Investment Banking and various industry sectors, along with a prior role as Global Head of Corporate & Investment Banking overseeing multiple banking groups. Earlier in Mohanad's career, significant roles at Citi spanned from December 2002 to March 2012, where responsibilities included Co-Head of Non-Presence Countries in Corporate & Investment Banking and other leadership roles. Mohanad began the career at PwC as Manager for Middle East Global Corporate Finance from November 1996 to December 2002. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University and an OSSD from York Mills Collegiate Institute.
