Rafique Ahmed Bhurgri

Rafique Ahmed Bhurgri has extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as the Divisional Head of Retail Operations and General Manager at the National Bank of Pakistan since October 2013. Previously, Rafique held roles such as Senior Vice President and Regional Head, overseeing business affairs for various regions and branches. From 2006 to October 2011, Rafique was the Agri Business Head, as well as Vice President and Regional Manager of HR, responsible for human resources in the Karachi region. Rafique began a career in commercial banking in various capacities, including Team Leader and Assistant Vice President, focusing on risk management and credit. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s Degree in Rural Sociology from the University of Sindh, along with certifications in Micro Finance and Islamic Finance.
