Senior Director, State Engagement at National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

Stacey Hicks currently serves as the Senior Director of State Engagement at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, a position held since August 2015, after progressing from Director of State Strategy and Partnerships and Interim Vice President of Advocacy, Communications, & Engagement. Prior experience includes serving as SEED Project Manager at the Arizona K12 Center and various teaching roles at Paradise Valley Unified School District, including Teacher Innovator and Third Grade Teacher. Stacey has also worked as an Educational Consultant for organizations such as Expect More Arizona and the Rodel Foundation of Arizona. Prior to these roles, experience includes teaching integrated preschool and intervention tutoring. Stacey holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the same institution.
