Elizabeth Ryu

Elizabeth Ryu has extensive experience in the field of research, with a focus on brain tumor studies. Elizabeth currently serves as the Director of Research at the National Brain Tumor Society, a position they assumed in December 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Research at Vitam Therapeutics from March 2021 to December 2022. Elizabeth also held various roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2009 to 2021, including Associate Director, Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist II, and Research Scientist I. Before joining Vertex Pharmaceuticals, they worked as a Scientist at Epix Pharmaceuticals from September 2008 to March 2009. Elizabeth began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Washington University School of Medicine from August 2004 to June 2008. Elizabeth earned their graduate research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University from 1999 to 2004.

Elizabeth Ryu obtained their Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin between 1996 and 1999. Elizabeth then pursued their doctoral education at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons from 1999 to 2004, earning a PhD. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Boston College from 1994 to 1996, however, the specific degree obtained during this period is not provided.
