Amir Yaron is a distinguished academic and financial expert, currently holding the position of Robert Morris Professor of Banking & Finance at The Wharton School since 1997. In addition, Amir serves as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research since 2004. Previously, Amir was a board member at ControlRad from 2012 to 2013 and worked as an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business from 1995 to 1997. Early career experience includes serving as a Financial Advisor to the Chief of Staff in the Israel Defense Forces from 1985 to 1989. Amir holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the University of Chicago and both a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tel Aviv University.
