Choon Kiat Ong is a distinguished Principal Investigator at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), leading the Lymphoma Genomic Translational Research Laboratory since August 2000. Prior roles at NCCS include Junior Principal Investigator, where the establishment of the same laboratory occurred, Senior Scientist at the Laboratory of Cancer Epigenome, and Research Fellow positions focused on translational cancer research and the Next-Generation Sequencing Facility. Earlier experience includes a Research Officer role working on the tumor suppressor gene OSGIN and undergraduate research on gene characterization related to orchid flower development and banana fruit ripening at the National University of Singapore. Choon Kiat Ong holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular and Cellular Biology, both from the National University of Singapore.
