Deputy Chief Surveyor - Gulf Ports at National Cargo Bureau (NCB)

Emily Lai has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Emily started their career as a Naval Officer in the US Navy from 1989 to 2001. Following that, they worked as a Mate at Maersk Lines, Ltd from 2001 to 2007. Emily then joined U.S. United Ocean Services as a Chief Mate unlimited from 2007 to 2012. Emily then transitioned into a role as a Marine Surveyor at National Cargo Bureau from 2012 onwards. In 2017, they moved to National Cargo Bureau Inc. where they worked as a Senior Surveyor until 2020. Emily has most recently held the position of Deputy Chief Surveyor - Gulf Ports at National Cargo Bureau since January 2020.

Emily Lai earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the United States Naval Academy. Emily attended the institution from 1985 to 1989.
