Laura MacDonald

Laura MacDonald has extensive work experience in the field of education. Laura is currently the Director of Professional Learning at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of New Member Relations and Event Manager at NCEA from November 2021 to May 2022. Before joining NCEA, they were a Relationship Manager from August 2021 to December 2021.

Laura also has a strong background as a school administrator. Laura served as the Principal of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School from July 2016 to the present. Prior to this role, they were the Principal at Holy Cross Academy from July 2013 to July 2016.

Earlier in their career, Laura worked as the Vice Principal/Teacher at Our Lady of Grace School from August 2008 to July 2013. Laura also served as a Program Coordinator at the Sacramento County Office of Education from June 2006 to July 2008, and as a District Language Arts/Coach Coordinator at the Washington Unified School District from July 2004 to June 2006.

Laura began their career in education as a Teacher at Westmore Oaks from 2001 to 2004, and previously at the Folsom/Cordova School District from 1998 to 2001.

Laura MacDonald's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from CSU Sacramento. Laura also obtained a teaching credential in Multiple Subject from California State University-Sacramento. Additionally, they completed an administrative credential from the same university. Laura pursued a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Study from California State University-Sacramento. Furthermore, Laura MacDonald obtained a Reading Certificate in Teaching Reading from UCLA Extension - Custom Programs & Corporate Education. Laura also studied Theater at the University of California, Davis.
