Tim'm West is an accomplished executive, educator, and consultant with extensive experience in social justice, LGBTQ advocacy, and education. As the Executive Director of the LGBTQ Institute at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights since January 2023, Tim'm focuses on advancing LGBTQ equity through research and education in the American South. In addition, Tim'm serves as a Social Justice Strategist for College Prep 360, providing support for social impact projects, and as a Senior Consultant for Solomon Admissions Consulting. Tim'm founded My Writing Professor and previously held significant roles, including Senior Managing Director of the LGBTQ Community Initiative at Teach For America and Director of Youth Programs at the Center on Halsted. Tim'm holds degrees from Duke University, Stanford University, and The New School, with a strong focus on philosophy and modern thought and literature. Through various roles as a writer, educator, and community leader, Tim'm has dedicated a career to fostering equitable opportunities and advocating for marginalized communities.
