Jung-Ah "J" Hwang started their work experience in 2000 as a Graphic Designer at Digital Color Production, Inc. Jung-Ah "J" then moved on to become the Vice President and Art Instructor at Little Picasso School of Visual Arts in 2001. In this role, they taught fine arts courses to students in grades K-12 and managed various studio operations.
In 2003, J joined the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as a Graphic Designer for their NetSmartz Workshop. Jung-Ah "J" later became a Senior 2D Graphic Designer and then the Design Manager for the NCMEC Creative Studio. Finally, they served as the Art Director for NCMEC Creative & Engagement.
In 2005, alongside their other roles, J worked as a freelance designer and potter.
Jung-Ah "J" Hwang has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from Michigan State University. Additionally, they pursued studies in Fine/Studio Arts, specifically in the field of general arts, at Albion College. Furthermore, Jung-Ah also explored Psychology at Northern Virginia Community College. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in "Creating Psychological Safety for Diverse Teams" and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" from LinkedIn.
