To that end, Alexis has organized around the country in areas spanning the political spectrum, and served in legislative offices at the federal, state, county, and city levels. She got her start as a college organizer in small-town Texas working toward inclusive campus policies and against anti-LGBTQ legislation in Texas Legislature. Most recently, Alexis served as a Deputy Voter Protection Director in Wisconsin, where she developed and executed the first statewide Early Vote poll observing program in Wisconsin history. Alexis graduated from Sam Houston State University with their Bachelor of Sociology and from Loyola University Chicago with their Master of Public Policy and Juris Doctor, where they focused on Public Interest Law and Child & Family Law.

It must also be mentioned that Alexis is a seasoned performer who will harmonize at every opportunity, and once had the pleasure of performing on stage with Demi Lovato for a full arena.
