Willis Jacobson

Media Relations Manager, Communications at National Center For Youth Law

Willis Jacobson is the Media Relations Manager at the National Center for Youth Law. He helps NCYL serve its mission of improving the lives of young people by connecting NCYL’s many important campaigns and initiatives, as well as news about its litigation, with the greater news media — from a national level to local outlets within the communities NCYL serves. Jacobson, who has 16 years of experience as an award-winning (California News Publishers Association, California School Boards Association, among others) journalist, has worked in newsrooms from the Southeast to California. An alumnus of the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, he strives to ensure that media coverage involving NCYL’s campaigns, as well as broader topics involving young people, is accurate, respectful and shared through an appropriate cultural and racial-justice lens. Above all, he aims to elevate the voices of youth and keep those voices at the center of issues involving young people.
