Quang Tran

Quang Tran, CISSP, CSCS, CCSFP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information security. Quang has worked at NCQA since 2008, where they have held various roles, including Director of Information Security and Information Security Manager. In these roles, Quang has been responsible for developing and managing the organization's information security management system (ISMS) and ensuring compliance with various regulations and standards such as HIPAA, FedRAMP, FISMA and PCI. Quang has also developed information security policies and procedures based on the ISO 27001/2 standard.

Prior to their time at NCQA, Quang worked at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2002 to 2006 as a Senior Consultant/Information Assurance Analyst. During this period, they led the development of a Contractor Review Program and provided FISMA support. Quang also conducted NIST SP 800-26 Self-Assessments on general support systems and major applications.

Quang's earlier experience includes working as a Jr. Security Engineer at TWM Associates, Inc. from 2001 to 2003. In this role, they developed and coordinated network operation policies, procedures, and security architectures. Quang also played a key role in ensuring the controlled procurement, development, implementation, and removal of network components for the Fairfax County Government.

Overall, Quang Tran has demonstrated expertise and leadership in information security, with a particular focus on compliance, policy development, and risk management.

Quang Tran, CISSP, CSCS, CCSFP, obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Decision Management Information Systems (DMIS) with a minor in Information Technology from George Mason University, where they attended from 1996 to 2001. Quang also holds additional certifications including HITRUST Certified CSF Practitioner from HITRUST, Certi- fied Security Compliance Specialist (CSCS) from ecfirst (obtained in 2017), ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Internal Auditor (TPECS) from BSI (obtained in 2014), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² (obtained in 2008). Quang Tran has also attended Annandale High School and BSI America.
