Imad Ouachan is a Research Engineer specializing in materials and processes at the National Composites Centre since December 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Associate at the University of Bristol from September 2022 to December 2022, focusing on the effects of temperature on the viscoelastic properties of leading-edge protection systems. Imad completed a PhD at the Bristol Composites Institute, where research centered on leading-edge erosion in offshore wind turbines, developing measurement techniques to assess the viscoelastic response of coatings. Earlier experience as a Research Chemist at LB Foster involved the development of friction modifier films for rail applications. Imad holds a PhD from the University of Bristol and an MChem (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Surrey.
