Phil Druiff

Phil Druiff is an Advanced Research Engineer specializing in automated composite lay-up processes at the National Composites Centre since January 2018. Phil conducts research into Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) and Automated Tape Laying (ATL) while pursuing an Engineering Doctorate, collaborating with the University of Bristol. Prior experience includes serving as an Automated Fibre Placement Manufacturing Engineer at Rolls-Royce, focusing on long-term development and production of composite manufacturing capabilities, and completing various roles during a graduate program in Civil Aerospace Engineering at Rolls-Royce. Phil holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol and has experience as a Midshipman with the Bristol University Royal Naval Unit as well as a Structural Test Engineer at AgustaWestland.
