Sean Cooper

Sean Cooper is an accomplished Senior Chief Engineer at the National Composites Centre since March 2018, with responsibilities including support for UK and International Defence & Space Sector R&D. In addition, Sean serves as Chairman of the Composites Technology Forum for UK Defence and has previously held roles as Deputy Chief Engineer and Principal Research Engineer, specializing in composite manufacturing R&D. Sean has also contributed to the IOM3 as a board member of the Composites Leadership Group and held leadership positions at TODS Aerospace Limited, AGC AeroComposites, Exova Group Limited, and Somerset Microbiology Services Ltd, demonstrating expertise in materials research and development, project management, and technical advisory roles. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Advanced Materials from the University of Surrey and a BSc in Engineering from the University of Plymouth.
