Valerie Hickman

Valerie Hickman is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Senior Communications Coordinator at a private company since August 2015, following a role as Communications Coordinator. Prior experience includes technical communications at Epic from September 2014 to August 2015, and a position as Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Appalachian State University from August 2011 to August 2014. Valerie Hickman also held the title of Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Nevada Reno from July 2008 to August 2011. Academic credentials include a PhD in Comparative Literature and an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a BA in Classics from Macalester College, and additional studies at St Hilda's College, Oxford University.
